Develops and implements compensatory strategies to make the world cognitively accessible.
Physical Therapy
Provides intervention and treatment in all aspects of physical mobility, strength, and balance in order to obtain the highest level of physical accessibility within the home and community.
Occupational Therapy
Specializes in providing the individual with strategies to maximize functional performance within the home and community.
Speech-language Therapy
Focuses on areas of communication and language through the use of direct treatment and in the development of compensatory strategies. Dysphagia treatment is carefully monitored and implemented.
NeuroHealth
This service is provided to the individuals who reside in Community Residences and is coordinated by Beechwood NeuroRehab’s Medical Director. Other on-site physician consultation includes Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and NeuroPsychiatry; on-site Rehabilitation Nursing staff provide direct treatment and medication management.
NeuroPsychological
Licensed Psychologists coordinating with other members of the transdisciplinary team assist in assessing cognitive strengths and weaknesses, and translating these into strategies towards the realization of goals pertaining to interpersonal relationships, self-awareness, adjustment to disability and specialized issues relating to substance abuse and sexuality.
Clinical Case Management
Works in coordination with the individual served, the transdisciplinary team, family, and funding agency to ensure the achievement of common goals; functions as the team leader in the coordination of the development of the NeuroFunctional Assessment as it applies to the implementation of the Rehabilitation Service Plan.
