Susan was injured at the age of 8 in an auto accident, but grew up in her family’s home in Upper Darby, PA. Despite her injury, she was able to finish high school and go on to graduate from cosmetology school. Soon after graduation Susan was married and had two children. However, as she aged her condition began to worsen due to seizure disorder, and Susan could no longer independently manage her daily needs. Now 49, Susan transferred to Beechwood NeuroRehab in 2013 and helps organize and manage the BeechTree Work Unit of Clubhouse. Her family lives in Newtown, PA and visits frequently.
“I have learned to be more confident and do things that I didn’t think I could do. The Clubhouse is bigger so we can help more people get the products they like now.”

“I teach my group how to style their hair and put on makeup. Everyone looks nice. I feel like my old self again.”
