Joe and Mary Faulkner are longtime supporters of Woods where their son, Mikey, has lived for seven years. This year, they brought their support of Woods to a new level. As Presenting Sponsor of the inaugural Run for Woods on May 2, 2015, Faulkner-Ciocca dealerships from Quakertown to Allentown came together to create 10 teams raising more than $75,000 for Woods. Partners Joe Faulkner and Gregg Ciocca were present at the event with their families along with 70 Faulkner-Ciocca employees and family members.
The Stabler Foundation provided Woods with a grant of $1 million to support the creation of the Stabler Center for Vocational and Cognitive Services at Beechwood NeuroRehab. The project was completed in the fall of 2014 and has made it possible for Beechwood NeuroRehab to expand vocational opportunities for individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), while providing space for supportine therapies. One of only 18 organizations in the country offering a “Clubhouse” for individuals with ABI, the program gives people the opportunity to re-enter the community, rebuild social relationships and gain the skills they need to live a productive life.
TD Bank supports Woods both through the TD Foundation and through its corporate philanthropy initiative. In 2014, the TD Charitable Foundation which “works to make communities stronger, more vibrant and prosperous” provided Woods with a $10,000 grant to enhance vocational training and double on-campus employment opportunities at the Yellow Daffodil Flower Shop and the Common Grounds Café. TD Bank also was a Gold Sponsor of the annual HOLLYWoods Gala held last January in Philadelphia.
